260 participated in the Inauguration of ICYM at Chakaram. The Sneha Dhara Patna Archdiocesan Youth Commission hosted an inauguration of ICYM office and held the election of the new team on 14th July 2024 at Chakaram. The event was held at the Sneha Dhara Archdiocesan Youth building, Patna and was graced by various dignitaries, coordinators, animators, youth members and well-wishes, creating a vibrant and spirited atmosphere.
The inauguration ceremony began by welcoming the Archbishop Most. Rev. Sebastian Kallupura, the Chief Guest of the program and chairman of the Patna Youth Commission and Rev. Fr. Chaten Machado, CCBI Youth Secretary and the national youth director by Band performed by St. Joseph’s Convent High school, Barh and followed by Payer dance and lighting the lamp. Rev. Sebastian Kallupura, the Archbishop of Patna and the chairman of the Patna Youth Commission hoisted the national flag, symbolizing the unity and patriotism, followed by Fr. Chetan Machado, CCBI Youth Secretary hoisted the ICYM flag, marking the official commencement of the event.
The program continued with a warm welcome song performed by Masauhri parish youth, setting a joyful tone for the day. And the commission had the election of the new office bearers and the newly elected office bearers took their oaths by having a lighted candle in their hands promising to serve with full commitment, dedication and integrity. This solemn moment was a reminder of their commitment to the values and mission of the ICYM. Following the oath taking ceremony, Fr. Chaten Machado along with concelebrants led the Holy Eucharist. This sacred celebration brought everyone together in payer and reflection, reinforcing the spiritual foundation of the movement.
The event featured two enlightening sessions by Fr. Chetan Machado, who shared his wisdom and insights on youth leadership and community service. His talks were both inspiring and practical, providing valuable guidance to the youth leaders. The inauguration highlighted the commitment of the youth to their faith and community and set the stage for future activities and initiatives. The spirit of unity, service, and dedication was palpable, promising a bright future for the movement.
At the end, Seha Dhara Patna Youth Commission also launched for the first time the official website for the commission by both Most. Rev. Sebastian Kallupura, the chairman of the commission and Rev. Fr. Chetan Machado, CCBI youth Secretary. The event eventually came to a conclusion by expressing the gratitude towards everyone who contributed to the success of the event by Fr. Jeyakumar, the youth director of the archdiocese and he felicitated everyone gathered for the ceremony, and encouraged the youth to continue their journey with faith and enthusiasm. It was indeed a delighted and remarkable event for all of us especially for the commission and for all its members
