66 participants from Bariyarpur, Basouni and Mokama Parishes along with some priests and animators actively participated in the Krus veer Rally held in the premises of Jyoti Bhawan, Mokama, on 18th November 2023.
The theme for the Rally this year in Munger Deanery was “Obey Your Parents”. Rev. Fr. Robert Kumar, the dean of the Munger Deanery was Chief Guest for the Rally. And before Starting the inaugural ceremony Rev. Fr. Robert Kumar, the dean of the Munger Deanery, Fr. Jesu Raj, the resource person from Barbigha parish and other fathers from the same deanery were welcomed from the entrance of parish house by band played in the Sound system. The inaugural ceremony of the rally was commenced by a holy spirit song led by Mokama krus veer children and followed by hoisting the Krus Veer flag by Rev. Fr. Robert Kumar, the chief Guest of the program in the presence of Fr. Jesu Raj, the Resource person of the Rally, Fr. Jayabalan from Bariyarpur parish, Fr. Sebastine.A the Jyoti Bhawan director, Fr. Reni, the coordinator of the Munger Deanery and Fr. Arul Jeyakumar, the Krus veer Director, and followed by a colorful and prayerful march past by the children and lighting of the lamb. Fr. Reni, the coordinator of the Munger welcomed all those gathered there for the program. Soon after the inaugural ceremony children moved to the hall for the Holy Eucharist. And it was begun with an entrance dance by Mokama Krus Veer children. Fr. Robert, the dean celebrated the mass and, in his introduction, Fr. Robert exhorted the children to grow and become a strong soldier for Christ and show in any case and at any time and everywhere to show respect towards their parents, Church, Word of God and Jesus Christ.
He further emphasized the four main weapons of the Krus Veer to keep up and practice them in their lives and always be ready to live and do anything for Christ and for His Kingdom as a Krus Veer. Soon after the mass there was a bible enthronement conducted by Krus Veer children through which the children were asked to give importance to the word of God in their lives. Fr. Jesu Raj, the resource person of the program very creatively and through a power point and videos gave a session on the theme obey your parents. In his session he requested the children to experience and understand the difficulties and suffering that each and every parent undergoing and the hard work they do for the betterment and welfare of their children. He too had a good interaction with the children and asked them to listen and obey their parents’ words. It is through listening and obeying the parents every child grows and becomes a better person for everyone in the society and especially for Christ and His church. Fr. Jeyakumar, the youth director and Sr. Blessy, and Sir. Sunil creatively and actively made all the children to enjoy and dance and also be happy through various action songs and activities. Children were also divided into three groups and given questions to discuss and share their views to each other in the groups and to all gathered there for the program. The attractions of the Rally were the different competitions like Qawwali, Acton songs, Street play and Speech on the theme of the Rally. Soon After the competitions cultural events were arranged by different parishes of the Deanery. Indeed, it was well organized and well prepared. At the end of the Krus veer rally, the youth director Fr. Jeyakumar appreciated all the parish priests, dean, coordinator and the animators and sincerely thanked them for their commitment, support, co-operations and selfless service to the children.
Everyone presented in the Rally congratulated Fr. Jeyakumar, the Krus veer Director for his tireless efforts in planning the Rally and for having conducted it successfully with the support of the core team. Eventually all were severed lunch and all the children left the place very joyfully.
